Το 2020, το ένα πέμπτο (20,3%) των εργαζομένων που γεννήθηκαν εκτός της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης (ΕΕ) εργαζόταν με προσωρινή σύμβαση στην ΕΕ, σε σύγκριση με το 13,8% των προσωρινά απασχολουμένων που γεννήθηκαν σε διαφορετικό κράτος μέλος της ΕΕ και το 11,8% των προσωρινά απασχολουμένων που γεννήθηκαν στο κράτος-μέλος που εργάζονταν.

Στα κράτη μέλη της ΕΕ για τα οποία είναι διαθέσιμα σχετικά στοιχεία, το 2020 το υψηλότερο ποσοστό εργαζομένων που γεννήθηκαν εκτός της ΕΕ και εργαζόταν με προσωρινές συμβάσεις καταγράφηκε στις Πολωνία (40,6%), Κύπρο (35,8%), Ισπανία (35,1%), Πορτογαλία (26,8%) και Σουηδία (25,2%). Αντίθετα, το χαμηλότερο ποσοστό παρατηρήθηκε στις Εσθονία (2,1%), Αυστρία (6,9%), Ουγγαρία (7,2%) και Ιρλανδία (7,5%).
