Το 2020, οι εξαγωγές και οι εισαγωγές φαρμάκων και φαρμακευτικών προϊόντων αυξήθηκαν (μπλε κουκκίδες στην εικόνα) στη συντριπτική πλειονότητα των κρατών μελών της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης - παρά τη γενική μείωση του εμπορίου (πορτοκαλί κουκκίδες) μετά τα περιοριστικά μέτρα που ελήφθησαν για την αντιμετώπιση της COVID -19.

Η Σλοβενία ανέφερε τη μεγαλύτερη αύξηση στις εισαγωγές φαρμάκων (+ 31%) και τη δεύτερη μεγαλύτερη αύξηση στις εξαγωγές (+ 42%). Η Ελλάδα σημείωσε τη μεγαλύτερη αύξηση στις εξαγωγές φαρμάκων (+ 48%).
