Το 2022, η αξία του εμπορίου (εισαγωγές συν εξαγωγές) αγροτικών προϊόντων μεταξύ της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης (ΕΕ) και του υπόλοιπου κόσμου έφτασε τα 424,7 δισεκατομμύρια ευρώ, 77,5 δισεκατομμύρια ευρώ περισσότερο από το 2021 (347,2 δισεκατομμύρια ευρώ). Η ΕΕ εξήγαγε γεωργικά προϊόντα αξίας 229,1 δισεκατομμυρίων ευρώ και εισήγαγε 195,6 δισεκατομμύρια ευρώ, δημιουργώντας πλεόνασμα 33,5 δισεκατομμυρίων ευρώ.

Μεταξύ 2002 και 2022, το εμπόριο γεωργικών προϊόντων της ΕΕ σχεδόν τριπλασιάστηκε (από 141,5 δισεκατομμύρια ευρώ σε 424,7 δισεκατομμύρια ευρώ), που ισοδυναμεί με μέση ετήσια αύξηση σχεδόν 5,6%. Την περίοδο αυτή, οι εξαγωγές αυξήθηκαν ταχύτερα (5,9%) από τις εισαγωγές (5,4%).
