Το 2023 σε σύγκριση με το 2022, το ωριαίο κόστος εργασίας σε επίπεδο συνολικής οικονομίας, εκφρασμένο σε ευρώ, αυξήθηκε κατά 5,3% στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση (ΕΕ) και κατά 4,8% στην Ευρωζώνη.

Εντός της Ευρωζώνης, το ωριαίο κόστος εργασίας αυξήθηκε σε όλες τις χώρες. Οι μεγαλύτερες αυξήσεις καταγράφηκαν στην Κροατία (+14,2%), στη Λιθουανία (+12,4%) και στην Εσθονία (+11,7%).

Για τις χώρες της ΕΕ εκτός της Ευρωζώνης, το ωριαίο κόστος εργασίας εκφρασμένο σε εθνικό νόμισμα αυξήθηκε το 2023 σε όλες τις χώρες, με τις μεγαλύτερες αυξήσεις να καταγράφονται στην Ουγγαρία (+17,0%), τη Ρουμανία (+16,5%), τη Βουλγαρία (+14,0%) και την Πολωνία (+12,4%) και τις μικρότερες στη Δανία (+2,7%).
