Μεταξύ του πρώτου και του δεύτερου τριμήνου του 2024, 3,2 εκατομμύρια άνεργοι ηλικίας 15-74 ετών στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση (24,0% του συνόλου των ανέργων το πρώτο τρίμηνο του 2024) βρήκαν εργασία. Κατά τη διάρκεια αυτής της περιόδου, 6,8 εκατομμύρια (51,2%) παρέμειναν άνεργοι και 3,3 εκατομμύρια άνεργοι (24,8%) αποχώρησαν από το εργατικό δυναμικό.
